A bunch of us went down to the MWC Basketball Tourney (my dad, brothers:Devin, Brett and Dustin, Uncles: Tom, Brent, Counsin: Steven, Jeff, Kyle and my Dads cousin Ernie). It was one of the most memorable trips that I have been on.

My dad flew in on Tuesday, and Devin, dad and myself drove down to St. George on Wednesday night. We met Ernie at his St. George house and Devin, Dustin, Jeff and Steven met us there as well. I gave Devin and my dad this shirt…

The highlight of the trip was watching all the games in the Thomas and Mack Center. Jimmer’s 52 pont performance was unbelievable! None of us could believe what we were witnessing. Here are a couple of images and clips from my phone…

We invited several clients to come to Park City to participate in a client summit (which ended up being more like a retreat). We had a great time with some great people. Part of the activities was to participate in the Olympic Bobsledding track!

I never knew much about bobsledding, but after signing several waivers and releases, learned that we were about to hit 6G’s down the track!

If you have never experienced multiple G-forces on your body then it will be hard for you to understand that you are not in control of your body – your muscles simply are not strong enough to control your limbs (head included).

My helmet kept banging into the side of the cart, my eye lids could barley stay open, and my torso kept getting crunched to my knees.

It was an awesome experience and gave me much more respect for the Olympic sport.

While I have been a major Jimmer fan for a few years now, my wife and kids are all about him this year. My boys will chant “Jimmer Fredette, nothing but net” all the time. Another favorite is, “Even Superman sleeps in a, what?, Jimmer Jersey!’ Both of those lines are curteosy of “Teach me how to Jimmer.”

We’ve attended several games as a family, and when tickets were hard to come by for the SDSU game, I was able to get one, on the 14 row, for only $18. It proved to be a never-forget-this-night performance by Jimmer, who ended with 43 points and a big win over the #4 ranked Aztecs.

When I was in McDonalds one night with my kids, there was a life-sized cutout of Paul Milsap in his Jazz uniform holding a basketball. My three-year-old was staring up at the poster for some time, then, in a loud voice says “JIMMER FREDETTE” while staring at the Paul Milsap Poster. I started blogging years ago, 2003 or 2oo4. Most of my posts centered around small business, entrepreneurship and ambiguity assoicated with creating and managing new businesses. It was fun.

Then one day, I went to update my wordpress version and…something went terribly wrong. With no site back up made, I lost those posts, and that little bit of written history.
